Accessibility statement
The Growth Cubes is committed to a website that everyone can use, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how this website was designed and built, not something added afterwards.
Conformance status
This website conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and to the corresponding requirements for websites of the European standard EN 301 549 (chapter 9).
How the website was evaluated
The published website was evaluated on against every WCAG 2.1 level A and level AA success criterion. The evaluation covered all pages of the website in both languages, Greek and English, and included:
- automated WCAG 2.1 A and AA scans of every page at six screen sizes, from a desktop monitor down to 400% zoom, with enlarged text, with increased text spacing and with the contact form in each of its states;
- Google Lighthouse accessibility measurements of every page, on mobile and on desktop;
- complete keyboard navigation of every page, confirming that each link, button and form field can be reached and shows where the focus is;
- checks of page structure, headings, text alternatives, form labels, error messages and colour contrast;
- validation of the HTML code of every page.
No violations were found. Every page scored 100 out of 100 for accessibility in Google Lighthouse.
What this means in practice
- Every part of the website works with the keyboard alone.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first item on every page, and the element that has keyboard focus is always clearly outlined.
- Text has strong contrast against its background throughout the website.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% and the page zoomed to 400% without losing content and without horizontal scrolling.
- Nothing on the website moves, flashes or plays sound, and nothing is subject to a time limit.
- Headings, page regions, images and form fields are marked up so that screen readers can announce them correctly, and each page declares its language.
- The contact form has visible labels, marks its required fields and explains any error in plain text next to the field concerned.
Accessibility settings
The round button with the accessibility symbol, at the bottom left of every page (at the top of the page on small or magnified screens), opens optional display settings: text size up to 200%, high contrast, highlighted links, a readable font with wider spacing, a large mouse pointer, and reading the page aloud with your device’s voice. Your choices apply to every page and are kept in your browser only. The settings are an addition: the website meets the standard without them, and it works the same with your own screen reader, keyboard and browser zoom.
